The Kenosha Writers’ Group announces the launch of their new website.

The Kenosha Writers’ Group has been meeting in Kenosha for two years. The group was born in the Southwest Library with about eight people and within three months had grown to outnumber the chairs in the room. We moved location to the Pollard Gallery’s loft and settled into a group determined by membership. We shared stories and supported one another in our quest to become better writers. The Kenosha Writers’ Group currently meets at Mo’s Lounge on the third Thursday of every month, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

The group was started by local writer and teacher Colleen Kappeler and members of her various workshops and classes. “As students continued to come from everywhere for writing classes, I recognized a demand for a writing group that could continue to encourage these writers and inspire them with others’ support of their craft,” says Colleen. Colleen currently holds a Writers’ Circle at the Nook Café on the third Wednesday of each month. Please contact Colleen at contact@colleenkappeler.com for more information.

Members of the group receive critical feedback about their work and support throughout the writing process. The new website will help to promote the writing of the group’s members, as well as reach out to other writers in the Kenosha area and offer them a place within the group. Please contact Tammy Peacy for more information about joining the Kenosha Writers’ Group.

The Kenosha Writers’ Group has released their second annual anthology entitled “Eclecticy,” available for purchase at Lulu.com.
